The Money Engine is a back-end software application, accessed via a web page dedicated to your business, and reached by a unique web address (URL).
What does the Money Engine do?
The Money Engine accepts on-line payments from visitors and gives them your products automatically and instantly.
Why does the Money Engine work so well?
The Money Engine uses innovative technology to combine the power of viral marketing and multi-level marketing with the principles of an affiliate program. A big difference, however, is that "affiliation" and payment are instant, direct and automatic. This is a tremendous incentive for both the Trader and the Affiliate.
Affiliates no longer need to wait for their payments -- weeks, days, or even hours; Affiliates are paid at the instant the customer buys! Affiliates no longer need to worry that their sales are not being tracked by the merchant's affiliate tracking system because there is no affiliate tracking system to go wrong! By using the Money Engine, merchants immediately eliminate the cost and hassle of setting up and maintaining an affiliate tracking system, and thereby also obviate queries and complaints about payment from impatient and irate affiliates.
Who can benefit from the Money Engine?
Any person, trader or company who supplies a service or product, tangible or intangible.
Intangible products, such as e-books, games, reports, recipes, parts of an opt-in e-mail list, etc., can be downloaded to the customer immediately by the Money Engine. Tangible products, such as a bed or a candle, cannot be downloaded, of course, but visitors can download discount vouchers or promotion coupons for tangible products or services, thus increasing your mail-order or over-the-counter business. If I use the Money Engine, what else do I need?
Nothing other than a PayPal account; not even a web site. Your Money Engine is hosted at Money-Engine.net. It will also be advertised at Money-Engine.com/Affiliates, where prospective affiliates can join your Money Engine to promote it.
You don't even need a domain name, but, if you have a suitable one, you can redirect it to your Money Engine. If you do have a web site, you can publish an "Affiliate Program" link to attract affiliate marketers to your Money Engine. Your Money Engine also links back to your web site. In this case, you'd use your Money Engine to promote special offers; your Affiliates do the promoting, and you get more visitors to your web site from your Money Engine page.
How does the Money Engine work?
In brief, you offer three items at a time on your Money Engine page, changing them every so often if they are intangible products. The visitor downloads each item immediately after its individual payment transaction is completed successfully by PayPal. On your Money Engine page you, the Trader, receive the payment for all three transactions.
The visitor then has the option to become a promoter ("Affiliate") of your Money Engine, paying us, the creators of the Money Engine, a small amount for the use of the technology. Affiliates get their own Money Engine page which promotes your items, very similar to your Trader's page. Affiliates can spawn new visitors who complete transactions for your three items, and receive cash as a reward.
A Trader can have up to three levels of Affiliates -- one for each item. Direct (first-level) Affiliates receive 100% of the payment for the first item transaction on their Money Engine page. As on the Trader's Money Engine page, visitors have the option to become Affiliates on your direct Affiliates' pages. They will also get their own Money Engine page promoting your items, from which they will be paid 100% of the first transaction, and your direct Affiliate will be paid 100% of the second transaction. Likewise, your second-level Affiliates can attract third-level Affiliates. Their Money Engine pages pay them on the first transaction, as usual, the second-level Affiliate on the second transaction, and the first-level (direct) Affiliate on the third transaction.
You're thinking, "Hold on! If I'm giving away 100% of all my items, where's my profit?" Never fear; the answer's near.
Your Affiliates do indeed receive 100% commission from you as a reward for promoting your products, your brand and your company. This is the key to the success of the Money Engine. (In practice, to avoid delays and extra PayPal processing charges, the payment is made directly from the purchaser of the items to the Affiliates, rather than to you first, only for you to pass it on to the Affiliates.)
Now, what about your Trader's profit? On your Trader's Money Engine page, you receive the payment for all three transactions. On your direct Affiliates' pages you receive the payment for the second and third transactions. On your second-level Affiliates' pages you receive the payment for the third transaction. Only on your third-level Affiliates' pages do you receive no payment for any transactions.
This is not as dire as it may seem at first. Think about the system design carefully. Affiliates are joining your Money Engine program constantly at all levels. You receive a never-ending stream of income at the top three levels, the top level being linear, and the other two exponential.
At the lower levels at which you receive nothing directly from the Money Engine, you'll still get the business from the buyer of your discount vouchers, which have essentially cost you nothing. If the buyer redeems the voucher, you'll still make a profit from the service or tangible goods you supply.
If you're offering intangible products, such as e-books, software, etc., the downloads cost you nothing anyway, and, if you change the items every so often, you'll keep your offerings fresh to attract repeat customers and keep your Affiliate network inspired.
A by-product of the Money Engine is broadcasting your business. You may not make a direct instant profit from the lower reaches of your Affiliate network, but you do gain a great deal of free advertising!
In short, the Money Engine is purposely designed to be fair and equitable to all involved, commensurate with the efforts put in.

Who created the Money Engine?
The Money Engine is the brainchild of Abacus Data Systems, a respected software house established in 1998. It was created with a combination of software engineering, mathematical and on-line marketing expertise.
Can I try the Money Engine for myself?
Yes. In fact, it is a requirement that you go through the process yourself, not just to understand how it works, but to provide Abacus Data Systems with the fee and the information it needs to set up your Money Engine for you, which must be done manually. The Management at Abacus Data thought hard about offering the Money Engine free to traders, but decided against doing so because every Tom, Dick and Harry would probably ask for a Money Engine just out of curiosity. How long can I remain a Money Engine Trader?
Suppliers of services and tangible goods
There are no regular charges to pay. Suppliers of services and tangible goods, offering discount vouchers or promotion coupons, are not subject to any constraints, and may continue in business as long as they like.
Suppliers of intangible goods
If you are a supplier of intangible goods, i.e., where the downloaded item is the end-product, such as e-books, software, etc., you should change your three items whenever the public interest in them wanes. After a while customers become tired of seeing the same e-book or software advertised, and stop visiting such web sites. Provided that you change your products when their sales diminish, you can remain a Money Engine Trader indefinitely. To keep the offerings fresh to attract a steady stream of end-users is a requirement. Abacus Data Systems makes no profit when we set up your Money Engine for you. Our investment in creating the Money Engine is recouped only from your success.
Your products are the fuel. The customers who buy your products for themselves keep the Money Engine running, not the Affiliates. Consider the Affiliates as the drivers, and the software as the oil to lubricate the engine. If you have good products, good customers and good affiliates, you'll have a well oiled automatic money machine which truly will make money in your sleep.
If you fail consistently to supply popular, good value items, therefore, you risk losing your Money Engine. We reserve the right to sell it to another Trader in a similar line of business to yours.
Can I sell my Money Engine?
Yes. Over time your Money Engine will, most likely, become very valuable; a business in itself. You'll pay a nominal charge for the manual work we must do to effect the change of ownership.
What are my likely returns from the Money Engine?
Ah... If you've read beyond the earlier paragraph about the fee, you're probably a serious business person, and deserve to know the best bit: how you can benefit from a combination of a simple mathematical principle and the desire of others to make easy money. It is advisable to keep the process diagram window open while you experiment with the following scenarios.
In these scenarios you see the Trader's version of the Money Engine. In the spreadsheet you can change the number of Affiliates your Money Engine attracts per period, and also the number of Affiliates each of your Affiliates' Money Engines attracts per period. A "period" is arbitrary; it could be a week, a month, a quarter, a year. Sooner or later your income will reach figures similar to those shown, depending on the efforts applied by you and your Affiliates.

For clarity, the value of each item on offer is $5 in the examples. As a Trader, you can set the amount, which will apply to all items and fees alike. Because of the PayPal transaction processing charges, however, a value less than $4.95 is not so interesting.

To get your own Money Engine for your products you need to use the original Abacus Data Systems Money Engine to to pay your setup fee of $40. There are no more fees or regular payments for the use of your Money Engine. This is possible only because we know that we shall be paid whenever you are paid by your Affiliates.
